Dubai: A Dh30 billion project has been approved to develop the emirate’s rain drainage network.
The approval took place in the presence of Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of the UAE; and Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai.
The project is designed to increase the emirate’s rainwater drainage capacity by 700 per cent and enhance its readiness for future climate challenges.
