Dubai’s Population Surpasses 4 Million, Targets 5 Million by 2030
The report, which tracks Dubai’s demographic trends and their impact on the real estate market, forecasts an influx of over one million new residents by the decade’s end. This growth is expected to drive demand for approximately 350,000 new homes, based on average household sizes. However, factoring in multiple homeowners, non-resident buyers, vacancy rates, and the need to replace aging structures, the total could rise to 500,000 homes.
Data from the Dubai Statistics Centre highlights a 6.13% increase, with 231,000 new residents added in the past year alone. Since 2011, Dubai’s population has doubled from 1.93 million, showcasing remarkable expansion over 14 years.
