Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC)

Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC) is a Free Economic Zone (FEZ) established to provide advanced healthcare facilities, medical education centers, and investment opportunities for foreign investors and medical professionals. Here's an overview:

- Establishment: DHCC was founded in 2002 by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, with the aim of developing medical tourism and attracting visitors to Dubai. 

- Development: The construction of DHCC was carried out by Tatweer, a subsidiary of Dubai Holding. Currently, the district is under the control of the Dubai Technology and Media Free Zone Authority (DTMFZA). 

- Community Structure: 

  - Medical Community: Home to medical centers, branches of global pharmaceutical companies, and educational institutions focused on healthcare and medicine.

  - Wellness Community: Focuses on recreational services, hotel development, retail trade, and wellness facilities.

- Area: DHCC covers a total area of 4,090,285 sq. ft​​ and is divided into these two distinct zones.

- Services Offered: 

  - Healthcare Services: DHCC offers a wide range of healthcare services, medical equipment, and pharmaceuticals, with strategic partnerships to support innovation in healthcare. 

  - Education and Research: The district hosts educational institutions and research centers specializing in healthcare and medical fields.

  - Residential and Commercial Complexes: DHCC includes commercial and residential complexes to accommodate professionals and support staff.

- Goals: DHCC aims to promote excellence in healthcare, medical tourism, education, and research by providing state-of-the-art facilities and fostering innovation in the healthcare industry.
