🌍 Dubai’s Continuous Infrastructure Upgrade: Building a City Designed for Lifestyle, Safety & Growth

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has approved a five-year plan (2026–2030) to construct 31 new pedestrian bridges and tunnels across key locations in the city. These developments will enhance connectivity, improve pedestrian safety, and strengthen Dubai’s vision of becoming a fully integrated, sustainable, and people-centric city.

From Sheikh Zayed Road to Al Khail Road and Al Ittihad Road, these bridges are strategically placed based on population density, mobility flow, and access to major residential, commercial, and tourism hubs.

This is not just infrastructure expansion - it is urban experience design at scale.

A City Built Around People, Not Just Roads

Dubai’s pedestrian infrastructure has already seen remarkable growth: From 26 bridges in 2006 To 178 by the end of 2025 And now expanding further with 31 additional bridges by 2030

This reflects a clear vision improving quality of life through safer, smarter, and more sustainable mobility. Pedestrian trips have increased significantly, while safety metrics have improved dramatically, with pedestrian fatalities dropping by 98% over the years. This demonstrates how infrastructure investment directly improves everyday living standards.

At Unique Zone Real Estate, we believe one simple truth:

Cities that continuously invest in infrastructure always attract people. And where people move, real estate demand follows.

Dubai’s consistent upgrades in mobility, connectivity, and safety are not isolated developments; they are part of a larger ecosystem that makes the city more livable, accessible, and globally competitive.

Each new bridge, each improved corridor, and each connected community contributes to:

Higher residential demand Increased commercial activity Stronger rental yields Long-term capital appreciation

Infrastructure is not just about movement it is about value creation across entire districts.

Dubai is not building for today it is engineering a future-ready urban model where: Mobility is seamless Lifestyle is elevated And growth is continuous

And in such cities, real estate does not just grow it compounds.

When a city invests in how people move… it is also shaping how people live.

And when people choose to live better… they choose the spaces around that vision.

Dubai is building that vision step by step, bridge by bridge.
